OK, it’s not exact. But I researched the release date on this one and it’s pretty darn close.
This time last year I was not happy. For many reasons, the main one being, as I’ve told you before, I was working for the devil. Not literally, but she did have red hair.
I listen to music a lot at work and there was no exception, however when BC and I weren’t rockin’ out to some Bieber, I was listening to a mix of music that included this song, because its title described exactly how I felt.
“Misery” by Maroon Five, was cranked up many a time in my little area of the office and every once in a while when I was walking around that place, I could be heard singing a line from the song: “I ammmmmm in miserrrry.” ‘Cause that was the damn truth. Not to mention it’s a good song.
The rest of the song in no way fit my situation, but those four words.. NAILED IT.
All is well now though, and I still like that song and that band and at a work luncheon I attended today one of the door prizes was two tickets to their concert and I almost tracked the winner down to be her new best friend so she’d take me.
But yeah. This time last year, this was the song I had on repeat.
