I laugh at the song for several reasons – it’s about taking shots of alcohol. It being played in an otherwise completely serious situation might make me pee my pants. It reminds me of the first Christmas party The Roommate and I had which culminated in a 4 a.m. dance party to above-mentioned song.
It also reminds me of one of my favorite Texts From Last Night where someone told their friend how they’d gone over to a sock drawer and proceeded to throw socks over their shoulders while singing “Socks, socks, socks, socks, socks, socks..” Just like the song.
Which reminds me…I should probably get to working on another one of those Sounds Familiars for you kids here soon.
