Dear Local Radio Stations,
Why did you do this to me? I like Kings of Leon. I downloaded a bunch of their stuff and became an instant fan once I heard “Sex on Fire” and “Use Somebody” on your playlists. And then, YOU OVERPLAYED THE CRAP OUT OF THEM.
“Only By the Night” is a good album. Play “Closer,” or “Revelry” or “Be Somebody (which I’m including below to show you why I make that point).
But nooooooooo. You played just those two. Over. And over. And over. To the point I almost didn’t want to listen to any KOL. Ever again.
And you’re threatening to do it again with Mumford and Sons. Stop playing “Little Lion Man” so damn much. I like that song. And I don’t want to have to remove it from my playlist. But you’re pushing me in that direction.
Sincerely,
Laura
Bet you can’t guess what song I’ve chosen for today? Day 16? A song I used to love but now hate?
OH. What? “Use Somebody”? However would you have come to that conclusion?
In case it’s already seared into your brain – which it probably is if you live in Louisville and have listened to local radio in the past year and a half – I’ve included videos for “Closer” and “Revelry” below the offending song.
You’re welcome.
